Obituary for Alicia Palagonia

On March 30th 2019, our fabulous wife and Mother passed away at the age of 93. The Rock in our family, she defied the idea of the little woman at home. A female entrepreneur in a world filled with men, she did break that proverbial glass ceiling long before it was ever even thought about. With the style of Chanel and the brillance of a Mensa member, she spoke to heads of state and her neighbors with the same verbiage. Imported Asian antiquities, walked the Great Wall, shot the rapids in jungles, survived earthquakes, typhoons and near plane crashes and could shoot the wings off a fly at 50 yards with a 9mm. She carried a briefcase with 10's of thousand dollars for landing rights of the 747 and DC10's she charted like a boss. She was fearless and fearsome and raised 3 daughters that were made to believe they could be anything they wanted to be with nothing holding them back. She is survived by her loving husband Frank, daughter Donna VanGreen and her husband Paul, daughter Michelle Micari and husband Robert, and daughter Anita Orbeta. Loving grandmother to Alexandria Maestrallis and husband Michael and beloved great grandmother to Olivia and Nico. Our mother Alicia Mary Palagonia is an icon. Fly high Mommy we love you.
