Obituary

Obituary for Charles Frank Puleo

Charles F Puleo | Howard Beach, NY September 16th 1934 – May 25th 2020
Loving son of Josephine and Ignacio. He is survived by his wife, Joan, his son’s Steven and David, daughter, Doreen, daughter-in-law Linda and son-in-law Edward, two grandchildren: Jenna and Danielle. He fought for his country in Korea, serving in the Navy from 1950 to 1954. He finalized his career as a liquidation officer for the United States Small Business Administration, despite his title he assisted many businesses by working with their loans to recover from financial difficulties and continue their operations. He was asked to come out of retirement and work in Texas to assist communities that where affected by Hurricane Katrina. Smitten by the young woman he had met returning from the service, he pursued Joan and married in 1959. They had 60 beautiful years together, raising their children, enjoying their grandchildren, and years later, their retirement in the sunshine of Florida. Frank, as he like to be addressed, was the kind of charming man everyone liked and respected. He loved to keep up with people, playing Craps, Pinochle, and Bridge. He enjoyed fishing and was a New York Ranger, Mets and Jets fan.

Dear Papa,
Remembering you and never forgetting our limo rides; trips in the family van; zoos and carnivals; running for the Mister Softee truck; special trips for crabs, lobsters, and capellini; you sitting at the head of the table for every gathering; and especially the Disney trips and all those dented trash cans! We were so lucky to have done all these things and so much more, but most of all we were so lucky to have you as our Papa. You were there when we were born and throughout our lives, always proud of our achievements (big or small) as only a loving grandfather can be. We love you and we will miss you,
Jenna and Danielle
P.S. Thanks for marrying Nana!
