At 5:28 PM today, my family suffered another terrible blow. The man who loved me first, my Dad, Frank Palagonia passed away. We are still reeling from my Mom's death 18 days ago. They say that when love is true, your heart's beat as one. Today proved that, he is back with the love of his life of 74 years. My Dad was born of immigrant parents and loved America. He proudly served his Country in World War 2 as an Airman in England where he met his Alicia, my Mom. He worked hard in those early year sometimes 2 jobs, to make sure that the ladies in his life had anything they wanted. A wife and three daughters, wanted for nothing. My Dad brought us to zoos, to see Santa, watched horse shows, cheer and speech competitions, Father Daughter Dances and basked in turmoil of 3 daughters and their unstoppable Mother. He taught me to love reading and bought me any book I wanted. Highly intelligent, yet sweet and kind, he epitomize the true gentlemen of the Greatest Generation. Deeply religious, he heard Mass every day and prayed for his girls. It's almost appropriate that he passed during the Holiest week in our year. Our loss is immeasurable, but we will go on, we are our Father's daughters. Daddy, kiss Mommy for us and know you were the very best of fathers.
When you believe your heart can stand no more pain, the world around you explodes.
This afternoon, my Dad, FRANK PALAGONIA, passed away,
Just 8 days after burying my Mom.
My Dad always a humble and quiet man was the epitome of the most devoted husband and dedicated Father.
My Dads' entire being revolved around his Family.
Never easy having three daughters and a wife with wills as strong as steel.
His hard work and sense of responsibility allowed us the best education as well as the ability to explore any dreams we could imagine
He never say NO to any of his girls.
I will miss his daily calls informing me of coming bad weather, political discussions as well as his reading the newspaper to me.
Dad and Mom have reunited in Heaven for eternity.
THANK YOU DADDY for your selfless life you gave us
I MISS YOU!!
