Scott David Calise, August 8, 1976 - December 2, 2019. Beloved son of Janet Barrett Grabowski & Michael Calise. Survived by his Step Mother Anngeannette Pinkston Calise, Step Father Ned Grabowski & Step Sister Nyasia Mitchell.
Also survived by many Aunts, Uncles & Cousins on both his Mother (Barrett) & Father's (Calise) side too numerous too mention including his Godfather Anthony Calise. His Godmother, Lorraine Barrett passed away recently & we take some small comfort knowing she will welcome him to the other side.
Scott was 43 years old when he passed & had a year & 1/2 long battle with Cancer. He never gave up the fight, wanted so much to live. He continued setting new goals for himself that inspired him to navigate through all the suffering. He even held out hope to return to work. He insisted on being at home even when it became unbearable. He said "NO" numerous times for an ambulance to take him to the hospital. He said "I don't want that to be my fate". He lived his life & faced his death on his own terms. His courage & stamina were remarkable.
Scott was a bookkeeper. He was a Math wiz so this suited him. He started his career by working for Richland Management - a Property Management Company maintaining 18 sets of books. He was known to be the best bookkeeper they ever had.
His Bookkeeping career took him to his last job at the Doughnut Plant, a company that prepared vegan doughnuts daily with all natural ingredients, a company he was proud of as they continued to open more locations. His most important accomplishment was implementing security (forensic accounting) & successfull office procedures to better run the business.
Scott had a love of music where his main focus was on creating EDM - his favorite genre. The music also led to interest in DJ-ing just like his father.
Scott was a lifelong fan of Wrestling & anything Star Wars related. He was an avid collector of all memorabilia for both, which brought him alot of pleasure.
Scott was an animal lover, he had 2 dogs he was devoted to. He was a kindhearted, bright, courageous man who was taken too soon. His story wasn't finished & in many ways had just started.
